Uncle Zac's Visit!

We are enjoying having Uncle Zac (David's brother) here to visit for a few days. Yesterday we all played at Splash Country, went to a Summer Spectacular (VBS), and stayed up really late playing the guitar! As you can see in the above picture, both kids got their guitars out to play with Uncle Zac!
We all really enjoyed listening to Zac play and sing. He's really good!

Here's Mackenzie and Josiah playing along with Uncle Zac! It is amazing how kids love to imitate the adults in their lives that they love so dearly! Thank you for coming to see us, Zac!

This is a belated post, but I have to give a shout out to David and the kids...what an amazing cake they made and decorated for me! I am a truly blessed wife and momma.

Here's an up close pic of the cake they made. David baked the cake and put the chocolate icing on it. Then, each child picked an icing color. David helped Josiah with the blue icing, and Mackenzie did the pink decoration all by herself! She wrote "Happy Birthday Mom" without any help! Pretty impressive. I even find it hard to write on a cake...and she's only 5 3/4 years old! Thank you, David, for all that you and the kids did to make and decorate a cake for me.

Our Easter Weekend...

Here's a picture of Zac, David's brother, with his green egg. This picture was in a different order, but I accidentally backspaced and deleted it...so, here it is, in a totally random order now! Ha.
...was a lot of fun! Uncle Zac came down for a visit, which was tons of fun for all of us! As you can see, we all enjoyed dying Easter eggs yesterday. It was a beautiful day, but far too windy to dye them outside, so we put an old fitted sheet over the table and dyed them inside! I love this aerial picture David took of Mackenzie, Zac, and Josiah at the table together. Cool angle! Below is a picture of Josiah with the cracked shell of an egg in his hand...and lots of cracked egg parts on the table below! He completely enjoys destroying the eggs just after he finishes dying them. Notice all the blue and green color on the table in front of him, right along with the destroyed eggs. He is ALL boy!

The next picture is of David and his "radioactive egg." While this one is not actually radioactive, he does cook eggs with radiation in them for patients to eat during certain procedures at work. :)
And here is what the Easter Bunny brought to our house this year...

Mackenzie holding up a purple egg that she found from the Easter bunny this morning. (She has a couple of new dresses that would have been perfect for her "Easter Dress," but she insisted on wearing this one instead! Funny girl.)

Josiah was hardly still long enough for me to take a picture of him during the egg hunt. Here's a pic of him holding up his Easter basket to show me what he'd found so far.

I love this one of Mackenzie holding up her two big eggs!

And, Zac took some pictures of the four of us together at church this morning.

Thanks, Zac! I love how the new pic of us turned out. I had fun editing it, too. :)
And, here's one I snapped of Zac and both kids at church today. Obviously, we have all enjoyed our time with Zac this weekend. :)

Happy Easter, Everyone! Praise the Lord for His sacrifice for us. Stand in awe of Jesus as He conquered death for us. Kneel before Him, humbled, that He would do that for us. Now, get up and rejoice that HE HAS RISEN and IS ALIVE. We serve an Awesome Saviour and an Amazing Lord. May you all have a blessed Easter.

Uncle Zac's Visit

We were delighted to have "Uncle Zac" visit us this past weekend. Thanks to our season passes (courtesy of David's parents) we had an extra coupon to get a friend in for free! We totally enjoyed being able to take Zac to Dollywood with us. As you'll see from the pictures below, the kids totally enjoyed their Uncle Zac! Josiah driving the car at "Watson Motor Company." (I was his passenger!)
Just behind us was Mackenzie driving Uncle Zac in the blue car.

I love the way Josiah was looking up to Uncle Zac, literally! :)

This one's pretty sweet, too, with Zac glancing down to check on Josiah as they walked hand-in-hand.

Hmmm, who stole the show for the weekend..."UNCLE ZAC!" He really is a natural with the kids. They obviously love him dearly. And David and I totally enjoyed the extra adults help for the weekend. Thanks, Zac!!! :)

Mackenzie and Uncle Zac riding the Scrambler.

I love this picture! It's great of Zac, and hysterical of Mackenzie...all you can see is her pink sock and shoe sticking out!

This sums up the weekend. The kids enjoying time with their Uncle Zac...and totally worn out! (Notice Josiah totally conked out on the couch in the background?! He was actually asleep.)

Another Easter Package!

Mackenzie was very proud of her Easter basket full of candy from Uncle Zac!
Josiah was also very proud of his Easter candy from Uncle Zac. He promptly opened every single piece that he was able to open by himself and ate them!!! Too funny. Thanks, Uncle Zac, for a very fun Easter package!

My Warriors

This one's for you, Uncle Zac! Just thought you would enjoy knowing that the kids love their matching Rochester Warriors sweatshirts. Thanks! (I had a little trouble getting them to both look at the camera and smile at the same time...but these two pics turned out ok.)
I once heard a man (sorry, I can't remember who it was) pray for Mackenzie (this was before Josiah was born) and his prayer was that she would be a "warrior child for the Lord." At first that phrase seemed odd to me; the more I think about it, the more I love it! I truly do want my children to be warriors for the Lord. It was a neat prayer; these sweatshirts make me think of that prayer every time they wear them.
