Easter Morning

Easter morning began early at our house. The kids just could not wait! Here is what they found at our door, from the Easter Bunny.
I loved watching the two kids sort through the contents of their baskets.

Not too long after sorting through the baskets, they were ready to head out the door in search of eggs!

Mackenzie was on to the bunny's trail. She quickly found several eggs!

Josiah ran in a different direction and gathered lots of eggs, too.

Most of my pictures of him are a blur. He was moving fast!

Mackenzie found a huge purple egg in the mail box, and behind that one was a huge green egg. She removed the pink one and called to Josiah to come and see! He reached in and gathered the green one.

Inside Mackenzie's big egg was a set of Squinkies. She was delighted!

Inside Josiah's huge egg was a Lego Ninja set. Those were two excited kids to find a egg with a toy inside.

Josiah gathered eggs from the flower bed.

Woo Hoo!

What a loot!

These sure were hidden up high!

He found another one.

They discovered that the Easter Bunny had left dollar bills inside of four of the eggs. They were so cute trading eggs so that they each had their favorite color of eggs.

Bunny, Worms, and Mother's Day!

So. I'm WAY behind on my blogging. Here's 3 posts in 1, with more to come in the near future! :) Our wonderful neighbors found this teeny, tiny bunny rabbit in their back yard! They called us so we could go see it, too. Mackenzie just LOVED it. We really appreciate our neighbors and are grateful they think of us so often.

Tiny little thing.

Here's an attempt at a picture of the kids and me on Mother's Day. Classic, as Josiah has his tongue out. :)

This one turned out pretty good, too. Josiah is smiling in this one as he has his "pet worm" clutched in his fist...but he just didn't look up at the camera. Oh, well!

The kid LOVES worms. I love hearing Josiah say, "Mommy! I think he likes me!" Well, of course he like you, Josiah. Who wouldn't like you?! :)

I've Been Tagged

Here is the 4th picture from the 4th folder under My Pictures on our computer. It turned out to be a pretty cute picture to post, too! This is Josiah in David's arms at Easter April 2007. Josiah was about 11 months old, and we had been to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny and ride the Easter train. All of us had fun; Mackenzie was 2 1/2 years old and afraid of the Easter Bunny. She told us after the visit to the mall that Josiah saved her from the Easter Bunny! How funny that at 11 months old Josiah was protecting his sister already!

Easter Train!

We went to the mall tonight in order to get Josiah's passport ordered...yes, you read correctly...his passport! We are very excited about getting to take a vacation this year. We just finalized all the plans today. We are going to Mexico! Anyway, I digress.

So, we went to the mall. We had no idea that the Easter Train was set up already; it was a wonderful discovery! The kids love this train, which is set up at Christmas and Easter. Believe it or not, it only costs $1.00 per child to ride. I think that's a pretty good deal. They thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I love the way they like to be together; even though the rest of the train was empty, they chose to sit side-by-side. Precious kids.

As they got off the train, Mackenzie said, "Momma, Josiah saved me from the Easter Bunny." Pretty funny. A 21 month old saving a 3 year old from the Easter Bunny! The train ride went pretty close to where the Easter Bunny sits...apparently a little too close!

Mackenzie also told us, "Momma, the Easter Bunny wanted to give me five, but I did not want to get fuzzy on my hand, so I told him no." What an excuse. She likes to see the Easter Bunny, but not up close!

We had fun at the mall. My mom and Mark just arrived for a visit during UAMS's Spring Break this week. We are excited to have them here for a few days. I'd best sign off and head on to bed. Good night everyone.
